How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and respond to your analysis requests and application submissions
• Communicate with you about your account, application, or our services
• Understand how visitors use our website and improve our products
• Send product updates, announcements, and relevant communications you have opted into
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking

Essential storage in your browser remembers your appearance (light or dark) and your cookie choice. It is always on and is never used to follow you.

With your consent, we use our own analytics to understand which pages are useful and how the site performs. It records the pages you visit and when, how long they are visible and how far you scroll, how you arrived (the referring site or a campaign link), the buttons, links, videos and questions you open, where on a page you click (which element, and where within it; never what you type), whether you send a form, the page speed you experienced, and your browser, operating system, type of device, screen size, language, appearance setting and time zone, from which we estimate your country. A random identifier is kept in your browser's storage to recognise return visits. Our own analytics does not store your IP address, and analytics is not used for advertising. If you send a form after accepting analytics, your message is linked to that visit so we can see what you read before you wrote. Visit records are deleted after 90 days and visitor identifiers after 13 months; daily totals that identify nobody are kept.

With the same consent, we also use Mixpanel, an analytics service, on this website and in Shaper BQ, so we can understand how people go from learning about Shaper to using it. Mixpanel records the pages you view, the buttons you click, the forms you send, the campaign that brought you, and session replays of how you used a page, with everything you type hidden. It keeps a random identifier in your browser's storage, uses your IP address to estimate your location, and processes the data in the United States. If you then use Shaper BQ, your activity there is linked to your account. If you reject analytics or withdraw your consent, Mixpanel stops recording and sending at once.

On shaperengine.com, which follows this policy, the same consent lets Mixpanel record, in a separate project, the pages you view, how you arrived, and when you follow a link to Shaper BQ. It keeps a random identifier in your browser's storage and makes no session recordings there.

With the same consent, we also load Google Tag Manager, a Google service that runs our measurement tags, and Google Analytics, which counts which pages are visited, on this website and on shaperengine.com, which follows this policy. The same consent loads Customer.io's tracker on both sites, which records the pages you view and keeps random identifiers in first-party cookies. It is not used for advertising, and advertising storage stays off. If you reject analytics, it is never loaded; if you withdraw your consent, its tags stop measuring at once.

When you first visit our site, you are asked to accept or reject non-essential cookies, or to choose by category. Nothing is selected in advance, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. Until you choose, and if you reject, no analytics or tracking scripts are loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage for twelve months, after which we ask again.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of non-essential cookies and do not ask. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie preferences” at the foot of every page.

Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of third-party services to operate our business. Each service is governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Cloud (Google LLC): hosts the website, its database and uploaded media, and sends our email replies through Google Workspace.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC): measures site usage on this website and on shaperengine.com, only when you have consented to analytics.
• Mixpanel (Mixpanel, Inc.): measures how this website and Shaper BQ are used, including session replays with what you type hidden, and which pages people view on shaperengine.com, only when you have consented to analytics. Mixpanel processes this data in the United States and uses your IP address to estimate your location.
• Google Tag Manager (Google LLC): runs our measurement tags on this website and on shaperengine.com, only when you have consented to analytics.
• Customer.io (Customer.io, Inc.): records which pages are viewed on this website and on shaperengine.com, only when you have consented to analytics. It processes data in the United States.
• Form and communication tools: Used to receive, route, and respond to application submissions and inquiries.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as is necessary to provide our services or as required by applicable law. Contact information submitted through our forms is retained for the duration of our business relationship and a reasonable period thereafter.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@shaperintelligence.com.

Our services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
